About an hour East of Prince George Highway 16 travels along the edge of the Rocky Mountain Trench on the way to McBride and Alberta beyond. In the rolling lands along the trench is the only inland temperate rainforest in the world.

The Ancient Forest/Chun T’oh Whudujut Park and Protected Area is a new park and has some excellent hiking opportunities, here’s a few photographs from a day in the park last October.
