Today Tekarra Studios is launching the first short film in the series “Generational Change - An Alberta Legacy”.

“Alberta is undergoing a historic transformation in how electricity is generated, moving from coal to natural gas and renewable generation. In early 2021 we began a project mapping and collecting photography of new generation facilities appearing on the landscape and researching the history of existing generation. From this project we are developing the short film series Generational Change focusing on transformational change in Alberta's electricity generation operations. "

Volume 1 is focused on the emergence of solar generation in Alberta since 2017. Other films in the series to be released through the year will touch on Hydro and Wind generation as well as a Coda which will cover legacy conventional generation as well as emerging technologies.
